Scan a print.See it in AR.

Hold your camera over a printed model from the Ada Tech lab. A 3D version appears on top of it, and you can turn it, resize it, freeze the view and save photos for your project log.

    Allow the camera

    Your browser asks once. The video is processed on your device and never uploaded.

    Frame the printed face

    Fill about half the screen with it. Even light and a steady hand help it lock faster.

    Explore and capture

    Drag to turn, pinch to resize, freeze the view, then tap the shutter to save a photo.

What you can scan

    Use your own photo

    Any detailed photo works, printed on paper or shown on another screen. It becomes a scan target on this device only, and a model appears on it.

    Best results: lots of detail and contrast, no large plain areas, kept flat and well lit. Logos, plain walls and repeating patterns track poorly.

    Change the admin password

    This lab still uses the default admin password. Set a new one under Accounts, then publish.

    Publish to every device

    Changes save on this device straight away. To put them on every phone, download the updated page and upload it to the website, replacing the old index.html. It’s the only file the site needs.

    Scan targets

      A photo of a print works best when it’s taken straight on, in even light, cropped to the print. A .mind file from the MindAR 1.2.x compiler can hold several targets.
